• Management of profitability analysis system and requests; • Participation in and support of committees evaluating new and existing programs, payers, providers, site locations, and lines of business; • Development of annual net revenue budgets; • Preparation of monthly net revenue calculations and analyses for both the hospital and physician organization; • Completion of various special projects, including upper payment limit calculations; • Analysis of hospital and physician claims and charges, managed care contracts, interim rates, and settlement calculations, including drawing and presenting conclusions from analysis; and • Coordination, preparation, and submission of all federal and state reimbursement requirements. Collaborate with team members, colleagues in other departments, as well as CHA senior management and utilize various data sources available to CHA, both internally and externally. Work with CHA Data Analysts to define data needs to perform tasks, including claims data, expense data, and utilization data for both the hospital and physician organization. This position requires an advanced level of expertise with spreadsheets and complex databases.
Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or healthcare related field; • Masters degree in business administration, health services administration, or related field with strong analytical, modeling, writing, computer and software skills preferred; • Five years demonstrated experience in financial and health care reimbursement policy analysis in health care, hospital, physician, and/or managed care organizations; • Experience with financial modeling (creating and coordinating) across an organization and preparing summaries for executive stakeholders; • Experience with data systems, specifically leveraging them for planning and reporting purposes. • Experience with cost reporting a plus; • Proficient in SQL, Access, Excel, and other data applications; • Ability to work in fast paced settings with independence and accountability, including as part of a team and with senior management; • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain financial data and concepts to non-finance staff.
