Manage, motivate, and set standards for accountability for all payroll staff members. Develop, implement, and manage methods, procedures, controls, and operations for the timely and accurate submission, preparation, documentation, and disbursement of all CHA and its corporate entities payroll checks, payroll taxes, employee benefit payments and complete reconciliations. This includes the management of bank interface systems, reconciliations, the analysis, preparation, and reporting to staff, department managers, and all external agencies. To achieve a high level of performance as measured by the timely and accurate payment of payroll checks, taxes and benefits. Ensure complete, accurate records and files to support disbursements consistent with corporate policy and compliance with IRS rules and regulations relative to the employment process.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field with strong accounting, analytical, communication, computer and software skills or college courses with equivalent work experience. APA certification a plus.
Five years experience in Payroll operations in a large organization. Demonstrated experience in analyzing, preparing and reporting expense accruals and performance to staff and managers. Demonstrate working knowledge of accounting, general ledgers, EOCs, and strong systems experience in automating timesheet and payroll activities.
