Job Purpose: Perform the full range of MRI exams within the department scope of care with little to no direct supervision. Responsible for maintaining the MRI safe environment including screening patient for contra-indications to MRI or contrast. Candidate must position patient properly for exam, perform exam according to protocol, assess exam for completeness and perform all post exam duties before marking study ready to read by the radiologist. Must be able to start IVs. Respond to patient's physical and psychological needs. Must be comfortable in a digital environment (PACS, Epic, Meditech, web based applications).
Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and/or an accredited MRI educational program. 1-2 years MRI experience. Primary or secondary certification by the ARRT in MRI is required. Experience with Siemens MRI strongly preferred. BLS required.
This is a day shift every Saturday position with possibility to work varied weekday shifts.
This is a network position and may require assignments at multiple locations.
