CHA Everett Hospital is a busy community hospital, offering inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital operates 112-beds and provides intensive care, telemetry, behavioral health, and medical-surgical services. Everett Hospital has a two (2) room OR and one (1) endoscopy room and a 24-hour emergency service department. Outpatient care at this campus includes surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, specialty care, primary care, and behavioral/mental health programs.
The Nurse Manager performs administrative duties under the direction of the Associate Chief Nursing Officer and maintains 24 accountability for the clinical and management functions of Intensive Care Unit and IV Team at Everett Hospital. The Nurse Manager develops and implements policies and procedures, performance improvement systems to maintain a high level of professional accountability related to assessment, re-assessment, documentation. Performance Improvement/Patient Satisfaction goals and will oversee the budget. Patient safety and patient satisfaction is a major focus. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for annual staff competencies being completed within the required time period. The successful candidate for this role will be a dynamic individual possessing the ability to deal with daily clinical and management challenges, as well as the proven ability to interact effectively with staff, peers, supervisors, patients and families along with a desired commitment to and work within the Mission and Vision statement of the Cambridge Health Alliance.
Qualifications/Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Masters preferred. Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in Massachusetts required. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required. 3 – 5 years of clinical experience in specific area of nursing practice plus 3 – 5 years of progressive management experience.
