Job Details

  • The Nurse Manager for Outpatient Endoscopy is responsible for the accounts for clinical operations within the Endoscopy unit and GI clinic. Direct supervision of all unit clinical and support staff, including accountability for employee competencies, evaluations, and annual reviews. Provides leadership to staff to facilitate the resolution of conflicts. Development, implementation and monitoring of systems for acquisitions and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Development, implementation and revision of unit clinical standards, policies, and procedures. Collaborates within the service line, and across service lines and departments to ensure effective clinical operations. Develops programming/services which are consistent with CHA mission and vision, including: Assessment of client/patient community health needs and development of programming to meet these needs. Assessment of staff and client/patient educational needs and development of programming to meet these needs. On-going staff supervision and development of nursing and interdisciplinary staff. Facilitates interdisciplinary care of patients.
    Hiring: Collaborates with other members of the leadership team to recruit and hire quality candidates.
    Business Performance: Develops unit budget and monitors cost/unit measures and other business performance measures.

    Qualifications/Experience:  Graduate of NLN Accredited School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing required Masters Degree preferred. Five years clinical experience in Endoscopy and Demonstrated leadership and management abilities. 
    Licensure: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License. American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required and CGRN preferred.
