CHA provides a full range of Orthopedic and Rheumatology services with a mission driven focus to improve the health of our communities. The Orthopedic PA will work independently in collaboration with a talented team of Physicians, PAs, RNs and MAs in both an ambulatory and inpatient team setting.
This position is per Diem, 5 days per week and will join call rotation with (10) department PAs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to in-patient rounding and consults, procedures, wound checks, discharges, labs/follow up, medication adjustments, clinic coverage, OR first assist, and general day-to-day care for hand, spine and general orthopedic patients. Excellent opportunities exist to teach PA students, as well as personal and professional growth. The successful candidate will have at least (2) years of Orthopedic experience in high volume practice. Experience in hand, suturing, casting and OR first assist is desired.
Candidates must have excellent clinical/communication/organizational skills and possess a strong commitment to serve our underserved, multi-cultural patient population. Must also be able to collaborate and successfully work in a multidisciplinary team based environment.
