Per diem Physician Assistant, OB/GYN
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a well-respected, nationally recognized and award-winning public healthcare system, which receives recognition for clinical and academic innovations. We have an excellent opportunity for a per diem Physician Assistant to join our OB/GYN department. Our system is comprised of three campuses and an integrated network of both primary and specialty care practices in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston's Metro North Region. CHA is a teaching affiliate of both Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Tufts University School of Medicine.
CHA provides a full range of obstetric & gynecological services with a mission driven focus to improve the health of our communities. The Physician Assistant will work independently in collaboration with a talented team of physicians in an inpatient multi-disciplinary team setting. This position is per diem, 12 hour shifts, with ideal candidates open to working at least once/month. All shifts (days, nights, weekends) are available. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the delivery of maternity care on the Labor & Delivery unit, maternity triage, inpatient rounding for GYN patients, emergency room consults, and first assisting in operative cases.
Candidates should be experienced in Ob/Gyn and must demonstrate a strong commitment to serve our underserved, multi-cultural patient population. Must also be able to collaborate and successfully work in an acute, fast-paced, multidisciplinary team based environment. Previous employment in an academic, safety net system is a plus.
