The analyst position being offered in this posting is designated, but not limited to, implementation and support of EPIC's suite of products deployed at CHA.
The Information Technology EPIC team is a multi-disciplined group of analysts who manage a broad suite of EPIC applications and corresponding outpatient and mobile applications for inpatient and ambulatory operations at Cambridge Health Alliance.
This team interacts with other IT and hospital departments around implementations and performance improvement and optimization.
This role will be a part of the ambulatory team supporting our primary care departments, medical and surgical outpatient specialties, emergency rooms, and urgent care. This position will report to the Director of Applications for ambulatory and is part of the clinical applications team that reports up to the CMIO.
The analyst is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of EPIC software. The analyst will be responsible for becoming/maintaining epic certification status within three months of hire.
Expectations: The analyst will be required to participate in the On Call coverage to supply 24/7 support to our users. The analyst will be supporting our end users and will be required to do site visits and provide elbow-to-elbow support on an ongoing basis.
The analyst will need to travel among campuses to provide support to customers. This position requires general project management skills, QA/Testing skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently. Must be able to work well in a highly matrixed environment, and work well with internal customers and multiple software vendors. Must be comfortable working with clinical users, financial/patient access users.
Bachelors degree preferred.
3-5 years of IT or healthcare experience required.
Epic experience as an end user or as an Epic analyst is preferred.
Epic certification is preferred.
Clinical background is preferred but not required.
RN/MA/PA/LPN is preferred but not required.
Epic certification will be provided if needed. It is a requirement of the position that the analyst pass Epic certification within three months of being hired.
