Join our nursing professional development team to assist with nursing orientation, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and other central education needs. The Nurse Educator fulfills an essential role on the nursing and clinical education team by designing, implementing, and evaluating high quality, comprehensive education for nurses based on the needs of the nursing staff and overall nursing strategic plan. The Nurse Educator promotes excellent nurse practice standards based on current clinical evidence, best practice, and patient population and is responsible for ensuring education adheres to nursing care standards as well as state and federal regulations and promotes evidence-based practice in the clinical setting.
Job Purpose: The Nurse Educator supports initiatives focused on continuous quality improvement, patient experience, and employee and physician engagement. Collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team and other services to support organizational goals is essential. Experience and passion to function within the roles of change agent, mentor, advocate for the clinical nurse educator specialty, champion of scientific inquiry, and partner for role transitions drawing on adult learning theories, experience, knowledge and evidence-based practice to transform clinical nursing practice.
Demonstrated excellent communication, assessment, documentation, interpersonal and technology skills.
Experience meeting the core competency standards of nursing professional development practice as set forth by the Association for Nursing Professional Development with current evidence of developing, implementing, documenting and evaluating nursing education and competency programs.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize as well as a commitment to work with a culturally diverse population.
A demonstrated ability to promote a culture that engages staff and promotes professional growth and development with strong motivational skills to inspire, engage and empower others.

- Nationally Recognized Certification in specialty
- Massachusetts RN license
- Masters degree in Nursing from a NLS Accredited School of Nursing
- AHA certification in BLS and ACLS
- Five years nursing experience critical care, or emergency nursing preferred
- Two years' experience as a nurse preceptor, clinical leader, charge nurse or educator
- Multi-campus assignments as needed.
