  • Job Duties:

    - Conduct in-person and multi-media trainings for health providers and community groups in New England (primarily Massachusetts and New Hampshire) - Contribute to the development of grant proposals for capacity building and outreach activities - Work with capacity building specialists at the Division to create and execute a long term term plan to expand the Division's capacity building activities for special projects, including but not limited to: The Brief Addiction Science Information Source (BASIS), Gambling Disorder Screening Day, Expressions of Addiction, Toward Evidence-based Action and Community Health (TEACH), and CHARGE (Cambridge Health Alliance Readiness for Gambling Expansion) - Create and implement new outreach initiatives - Work with capacity building specialists at the Division to create and execute long-term plans to increase awareness of addiction-related public health issues in Massachusetts and New Hampshire - Work with capacity building specialists at the Division to develop a state-wide coalition of organizations representing a continuum of addiction-related services in Mass. and NH - Event planning, design, and production - Host webinars and trainings (digital and face-to-face) - Project administration in collaboration with Division administrative staff - Writing research summaries for the Brief Addiction Science Information Source research blog


    - Master of Public Health or equivalent - Strong background in public health - Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and proven ability to function independently - Must have an understanding of research - Strong interest in evidence-based public health outreach, in general, and addiction-related evidence-based public health outreach, specifically - Bilingual (Spanish) preferred - Requires up to 50% travel (Mass. and NH) - Excellent organization skills a must - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite required - Creativity and experience with graphic design a plus - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required; public speaking and presentation experience [cha072516]
