Prepare, season and cook soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, desserts or other foodstuffs from scratch in a timely manner adhering to recipes. Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served. Ensure all food and other items are stored and labeled properly. Keep a clean, sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. Fill out production sheets and take temperatures of foods regularly and document them in time/temperature logs. Other various duties as directed by the chef.
Education/Training: Equivalent to high school graduate with additional specialized culinary training. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and perform mathematical computations well enough to convert recipe weights and measures as needed.
Work Experience: Six months previous kitchen work experience required. Must have a sincere interest in a career in culinary arts.
