  • This is a part-time per-diem position, likely averaging 14-16 hours/week. Responsibilities: The Epidemiologist II/Research and Evaluation Project Manager will uphold ICH's core values: understanding and respecting diverse populations as well as the uniqueness of communities, safe-guarding privacy, supporting and building lasting partnerships, and improving the health status of communities. The Epidemiologist II/Research and Evaluation Project Manager is responsible for managing evaluation, research, and planning and assessment projects, and participating in both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Under the direction of the project Principal Investigator, this position will: Collect, clean, analyze and report quantitative data, including performing statistical analyses with appropriate statistical software (SAS and/or R) Manage mixed methods evaluation, research and other project activities, including evaluation and research plan development, instrument design, data collection, analysis, and reporting, to ensure project is on time and on budget Conduct and analyze focus groups and interviews Develop and implement analytic plans for assigned projects and adhere to analytic deadlines In collaboration with the project team, disseminate project results to community and academic audiences through reports, presentations, and other materials Develop user-friendly, graphic displays of data using Power Point and other tools, and act as a technical resource to other staff on interpretation and presentation of data Effectively manage relationships with ICH partners, including facilitating discussions regarding project activities Ensure compliance with IRB paperwork and other regulations as needed Participate in ICH staff meetings as assigned Accomplish other tasks and activities as assigned


    Masters degree in Public Health with concentration in Epidemiology or Biostatistics or equivalent degree strongly preferred Three to five years work experience managing and analyzing health data and conducting community-based research and evaluation Proficiency in SAS programming at an intermediate level required Experience developing research and evaluation plans and instruments, collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and writing reports Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong project management skills Ability to balance multiple projects and be flexible in day-to-day work tasks Strong writing, facilitation and presentation skills Thorough knowledge of and experience with Excel Ability to work collaboratively with other ICH staff Experience working with community organizations and diverse populations Ability to interact respectfully with community partners and community members Ability to independently travel to meetings locally, regionally and statewide
