DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Division is responsible in providing internal financial support services for the administration and operations of Cambridge Health Alliance.

Summary:
To provide support, analysis and review to Sr. Director Business & Financial Analytics, Reporting, Budgeting and Senior Management across all areas of the organization: monthly financial reporting and analysis, FTE reporting and management, Benchmarking, Productivity, Volume and statistical metrics, revenue, financial planning, external reporting, federal and state reporting, and special projects. Will utilize various systems within CHA (Meditech, EPIC, Axiom, Access) to collect, organize and prepare analysis for range of reports and filings. Support Sr. Directors, Directors, Managers in the reporting and variance analysis for both staffing and non staffing expenses. Participate in annual budget training for the organization and support identified service line Managers with budget access and preparation. Assist department in improving systems and data for more accurate, efficient reporting. Maintain appropriate supporting documentation, participate in audits and reviews.

Responsibilities:
Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities
Project management responsibilities and need the ability to provide coaching and direction to more junior staff
Prepares and analyzes reporting at all levels of the organization actuals, forecasts and prior fiscal year
Researches and analyzes variances to ensure data accuracy
Responsible for developing financial modeling, financial statement analysis, decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis presents summarized financial modeling assumptions and results in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand format
Assists in the continued development of financial modeling and forecasting to meet the needs of various internal and external customers.
Position will be expected to have knowledge of Lean concepts. Position is expected to work to develop and improve financial reports for the organization.
This position requires a self starter with the ability to work independently to produce accurate and timely reconciliations and reports.
Must be able to contribute effectively as a team member working closely with the Accounting and Payroll Departments.
Project management and Lean training a plus.
Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and strong MS Excel and MS Access skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree with at least 7 years experience in general accounting, Payroll or IT, Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word and Access. Meditech a plus.
