Lead the day-to-day execution of hospital revenue operations. Manage hospital and single billing office departments
Direct, mentor, encourage and promote a team that is responsible for timely and accurate production of claims and management of denials and collection of cash.
Define metrics and key indicators to monitor performance of staff
Serve as internal consultant and work cross-functionally on process improvements, project implementations and reporting. This includes Case Management, Revenue Integrity, HIM Coding, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Primary Care, Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency departments.
Continuously evaluate processes and systems to ensure department is working effectively and efficiently. There is heavy use of Epic Resolution Hospital Billing System.
Develop and present executive level communications. This includes advanced use of Google and Microsoft Suite of products. Keep leadership informed of project progress and potential problems. Share innovative approaches with key stakeholders
Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
5+ years of healthcare experience managing staff and billing operations
Demonstrated goal-oriented thinking, leadership ability, and strong interpersonal, operational and organizational skills
Experience and solid understanding of hospital information systems such as Epic. Strong software skills utilizing Google and Microsoft Office products
Strong understanding of CPT and ICD10 codes, and ability to read 837 (UB04 claim forms and 1500 claim forms) and 835 payment files, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits and appeal processes
Demonstrated ability to establish a professional code and work environment with the ability to remain professional, even when working through difficult situations.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, effectively assess, research issues through strong problem-solving skills as well as collaborating with other departments to solve problems.
Ability to support and promote the understanding of organization mission and goals
Ability to communicate with clients including patients, providers, and other managers effectively
