Job Purpose: The Nurse Manager assumes accountability and responsibility for translating the philosophy of the hospital, ambulatory service and the department of nursing into effective action. Responsibility is centralized in these key areas: leadership, clinical practice, professional development, financial management, performance improvement, strategic planning, and personnel management. The Nurse Manager works in collaboration with the Medical Director and Practice Manager/Operations Supervisor.
The Nurse Manager consistently applies the CHA Circle values of Community, Integrity, Respect, Compassion, Learning and Excellence in an effort to improve the health status of our communities. The Nurse Manager is competent in the following Standards of Professional Performance articulated by the American Academy of Ambulatory Nurses: performance improvement, education, professional practice evaluation, collegiality, collaboration, ethics, research, environment, resource utilization and leadership.
Education/Training: BSN required, Master's Degree in Nursing or Health Care Related Field strongly preferred.
Licensure: MA. RN Licensure required
Certifications: Maintains current AHA Basic Life Support "C" certification
Work Experience: Five years of management experience in a health care setting.
Linguistic Capabilities: Knowledge of a second language preferred.
