    Nurse Manager - Off Shift Nursing Supervisor

    CHA Everett Hospital
    is a busy community hospital, offering inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital operates 112-beds and provides intensive care, telemetry, mental health, and medical-surgical services. WH has a two (2) room OR and one (1) endoscopy room. A 24-hour emergency service is also on site. Outpatient care at this campus includes surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, specialty care, and mental/behavioral health programs.

    The Nurse Manager of Off-Shift Operations (Nursing Supervisor) is the Nursing Leader on site during his/her shift. The Off Shift Manager is responsible for all patient placement in the hospital and coordinates the placement of all admissions and transfers in accordance with the clinical standards and guidelines. The OSM supervises and coordinates the activities of nursing department personnel as well as has oversight of patient care activities throughout the campus. The OSM liaisons with the OSM at Cambridge Hospital. As necessary, the OSM interprets department policies and procedures, investigates and addresses concerns from patients, visitors and nursing personnel as well as from other disciplines. Reports are generated as required to ensure appropriate communication. Responsible for Supervision of all Nursing Departments during off shift and weekend hours. Ability to multitask, responding to all critical care situations, management of patient flow and general overview of all hospital departments when Department Nurse Managers/Supervisors are not on duty.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    Current Massachusetts RN license required
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Masters preferred
    American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification required. IV certification competency.
    3 - 5 years of clinical experience in specific area of nursing practice plus 3 - 5 years of progressive management experience.
    Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary.
    Multi campus oversight, one campus a shift.
