This position is responsible for managing the reporting, analytical, revenue and systems management services to Revenue Cycle and Administrative leadership. Gathers data from multiple systems to incorporate in financial, operational, and business data reporting and analysis. Oversee the analysis of prior and current year financial and operational information as well as recent trends and external data benchmarks to help support strategic planning and assist in budget projections. Manage the developing and on-going preparation for revenue and A/R reports to support month management reporting and analysis, root cause analysis and resolution. Assist in education, training and support of colleagues as it relates to data management and reporting. Support and maintain a high level of customer service to CHA. Will participate in intra- and inter-departmental meetings to coordinate information gathering, workflow and efficiencies. Coordinate meetings and review as determined by process outcomes to respond and resolve assigned issues.
- Manage the design and implementation of Epic Resolute hospital and professional billing reports. Monitors and reports key performance indicators for the various revenue cycle teams and any external parties involved in any aspect of revenue cycle phases and communicates revenue cycle performance results to key stakeholders.
-Manage and perform detailed analysis of data, verifying current interpretation of regulations as well as projecting the effects of proposed or changed regulations. Performs what if scenarios and sensitivity analysis on the impact of changes in departmental activities or new programs as it relates to reimbursement.
-Assists in the preparation of AR, reimbursement and revenue reports and findings and effectively utilizes presentation tools, e.g. charts and graphs to communicate results.
-Works in partnership with professional and facility billing managers, billing/system vendors, and IT staff.
Bachelor s Degree in finance, accounting preferably in health care related field.
Work Experience: 7+ years of analytic experience with industry metrics, revenue and claims data. EPIC Resolute experience a must. Previous experience producing statistical and financial reports and presenting results to management. EPIC Resolute certification preferred. Five to seven years experience in hospital revenue cycle.
Working knowledge of all third party rules and requirements as they relate to billing and payments. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits and appeal processes. Demonstrated experience in the automation of patient accounts billing system activities. Demonstrated ability to establish a professional code and work environment and experience in working with clinical, ancillary department and primary care leaders to resolve problems.
