  • This position is in the Government Reimbursement Department, supporting both the Hospital and the Physician Organization. Gathers data from multiple systems to incorporate in financial, clinical, provider, operational, and business data reporting and analysis. Analyzes prior and current year financial and operational information as well as recent trends and external data benchmarks to help support strategic planning and assist in budget projections. May recommend solutions to processes and/or enhancements to existing policies and procedures as necessary and appropriate. Assist in education, training and support of colleagues and help ensure department standards, performance and goals. May participate in intra- and inter-departmental meetings to coordinate information gathering, workflow and efficiencies. Coordinate meetings and review as determined by process outcomes to respond and resolve assigned issues.

    Job Duties:

    Design, implement, and maintain Epic Resolute hospital and professional billing reports Produce and analyze both ad hoc and standard sets of Epic Resolute billing data to assess financial performance Extract data from various SQL Server data repositories including EPIC Clarity and Caboodle Aggregate, analyze, and display the information in an efficient way using a variety of different reporting tools such as Crystal, Reporting Services, Epic Reporting Workbench, SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, and Excel Support data extraction and submissions to external databases/performance measurement systems and manipulate and report on data provided by these sources Lead projects independently, identify data analysis needs, and work with peers and less-experienced staff to meet these needs Coordinate system wide data integration, documentation, and reporting Participate and take a key role in CHA-wide project teams Other duties, as assigned.


    Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting preferably in health care related field. Work Experience: 7+ years of analytic experience with industry metrics, revenue and claims data. EPIC Resolute experience a must. EPIC Resolute certification preferred. 3-5 years experience in hospital patient accounting. Working knowledge of all third party rules and requirements as they relate to billing and payments. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits and appeal processes. Demonstrated ability to establish a professional work environment and experience in working with clinical, ancillary department and primary care leaders to resolve problems. Demonstrated goal-oriented thinking, leadership ability, and strong interpersonal, operational and organizational skills. Cognitive Skills: Able to work in a demanding, busy, and stressful environment with deadlines. Able to communicate information effectively to individuals, groups, and communities. Experience in both financial and clinical information systems. Ability to quickly learn, implement and administer new software packages Knowledge of Google Suite for Business preferred. Proficiency using data extraction tools accessing SQL databases preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office software required in MS Access and Excel to create standard and custom reports. Experience with Crystal Reports and Reporting Services preferred.
