  • This position is responsible for providing a range of reporting, analytical, revenue and systems management services to Revenue Cycle and Administrative leadership. Gathers data from multiple systems to incorporate in financial, operational, and business data reporting and analysis. Analyzes prior and current year financial and operational information as well as recent trends and external data benchmarks to help support strategic planning and assist in budget projections. Prepare revenue and A/R reports to support month management reporting and analysis, root cause analysis and resolution. The role also supports the development of various ad hoc analyses as required including but not limited to researching, analyzing and preparing reports on revenue, reimbursements and forecasting utilizing organizational, payer and industry trends. -Design, implement, and maintain Epic Resolute hospital and professional billing reports. -Monitors and reports key performance indicators for the various revenue cycle teams and any external parties involved in any aspect of revenue cycle phases; communicates revenue cycle performance results to key stakeholders within the organization; and recommends modifications to key indicators while continually improving performance and overall revenue cycle results. -Produce and analyze both ad hoc and standard sets of Epic Resolute billing data to assess financial performance. Extract data from various SQL Server data repositories including EPIC Clarity and Caboodle. Aggregate, analyze, and display information in an efficient way using a variety of different reporting tools such as MS Office Suite, Crystal, Reporting Services, Epic Reporting Workbench, SAP Business Objects, Tableau and others. -Assists in the preparation of A/R, reimbursement and coding reports and findings and effectively utilizes presentation tools, e.g. charts and graphs to communicate results.


    Work Experience: 5+ years of analytic experience with industry metrics, revenue and claims data. Epic Resolute experience a must including a strong understanding of Epic HB and PB Clarity Data Models. Previous experience producing statistical and financial reports and presenting results to management. EPIC Resolute certification preferred. Three to Five years experience in hospital revenue cycle. Working knowledge of all third party rules and requirements as they relate to billing and payments. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits and appeal processes. Demonstrated experience in the automation of patient accounts billing system activities. Epic experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to establish a professional code and work environment and experience in working with clinical, ancillary department and primary care leaders to resolve problems. Demonstrated goal-oriented thinking, leadership ability, and strong interpersonal, operational and organizational skills. Technical Skills: Ability to work in an occasionally stressful environment. Personal interactions, which may include but are not limited to, outside vendors/payers, patients and/or their families/representatives as well as co-workers. Experience in both financial and clinical information systems. Ability to quickly learn, implement and administer new software packages Knowledge of Google Suite for Business preferred. Proficiency using data extraction tools accessing SQL databases preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software required in MS Access and Excel to create standard and custom reports. Experience with Crystal Reports and Reporting Services preferred. Experience with additional EPIC applications, particularly Reporting Workbench & Radar, preferred. Must be an analytical problem solver that effectively utilizes data management skills and has an advanced level of expertise with spreadsheets and databases.
