Job Purpose:

To provide clinical, administrative and organizational support services to Health Care for the Homeless providers allowing for effective patient care. To provide compassionate support and organizational assistance to patients who are experiencing homelessness, both in shelters and outside on the street and in encampments.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education/Training: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Licensure: N/A

Certifications: 

1. American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required

The following certifications qualify as formal training in a related field:

  • Nurses’ Aide
  • Phlebotomist
  • Medical Assistant

2. Trained and completed certification for Community Health Worker preferred

  • Work Experience: Minimum of one year experience in a formal medical setting and/or evidence of formal training in a related field.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese in addition to English.
