Working under the direction of the Director of Performance Improvement PI), the Performance Improvement (PI) Consultantis responsible for improving clinical and operational workflows to ensure safe, timely, efficient, effective, equitable, and patient-centered care to our patient population. The program includes consultative PI and project management support to individual clinical service lines for department and service line specific projects intended to improve patient care outcomes as well as a portfolio of larger, more complex, system-wide improvement initiatives.The consultant will be expected to integrate evidence-based decision making with an innovative lens using PI framework and methods to engage stakeholders and drive improvements. The role is supported by a team of consultants with skills ranging from PI expertise, data and quality metric identification and monitoring, patient risk and safety, operations modeling and design and workshop facilitation. 

This position will be responsible for working with the department and CHA leaders to support projects through project management, data analysis, and implementation using the PI toolkit. Data extraction, analysis and presentation skills are critical for this position.Also required are exceptional organizational skills, including effectively developing internal work and communication processes and systems to facilitate effective collaboration across CHA. 

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a healthcare, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Care Management, or related area. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.

  • Expertise in project management (familiarity with tools like Smartsheet, Trello, or MS Project highly desirable), PI frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, IHI´s Model for Improvement, Design thinking and other quality improvement methods is preferred. 

  • Certifications: Lean and/or other Quality Improvement training preferred. 
  

Annual Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000. Placement within range is based on years of relevant experience and maintaining internal equity.
