Job Summary 

The mission of Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is to improve the health of the communities that it serves. Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled manager of youth programs to join the Youth Initiatives program within the Department of Community Health (DCH). The Career Pathways Program (CPP) Manager will be an integral member of this team that supports positive youth development, workforce development and health promotion. This position will collaborate internally and externally with community partners to implement and manage youth workforce development opportunities, youth development initiatives and programs that uphold and honor CHA’s mission. The CPP Manager supervises the Career Pathways Mentor as well as program participants. 

Reporting to the Director of Community Health Youth Initiatives, the Career Pathways Program (CPP) Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Career Pathways Program opportunities for youth and young adults from the CHA service area.The CPP Manager will be an individual with an interest and passion for program planning, positive youth development, and community health. This position is for someone who wants to work directly with youth in a community setting to support the Cambridge Health Alliance’s (CHA) mission to improve the health of the community bringing a commitment to racial justice and health equity. The Career Pathways Program will support and expand workforce development opportunities at Cambridge Health Alliance, working with an advisory board, community partners and interdepartmentally. Candidates must be willing to travel to various CHA sites regularly as well as within the CHA service area.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field required, with additional experience in similar types of programs. 

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in engaging with youth and youth programming; including at least 2 years of direct supervision of youth in one-on-one and/or small groups.

1 -2 years experience supervising staff preferred. 

Proficient in English; second language desirable such as Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole for both oral and written communication.

Ability to travel for programming and meetings within the CHA catchment area.
