The Interface Developer specialize in writing scripts and testing software interfaces to ensure that they meet specifications. They are responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable SMART on FHIR apps using modern technologies. There is involvement in the entire cycle of interface application development (including analysis, design/architecture, specification, coding, testing, implementation, documentation and production support). They will serve as the subject matter expert for HL7 application interface development. Develops, tests and implements new solutions per standards and best-fit for particular data exchange. Works under the direction of the Team Lead to ensure results are achieved and deadlines are met. Resolves problems and provides daily troubleshooting, analysis, and problem definition for all environment issues. Works with the BA/QA team and data exchange partners to validate and test all new development and exchanges. Documents and maintains change control records for all system changes. Participate in code reviews and apply best practices and standards. Leads technical discussions and analyze user requirements to derive technical software design and performance requirements. Must have the  ability to comprehend detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects. Remains current with evolving industry trends and technologies. 

Qualifications: 

  • 3 years experience in a healthcare setting providing interface programming & support.
  • Prefferred Rhapsody Associates level certification
