OBGYN Physician/Clinician Informaticist
Requisition Number: CHAP-2392-3
- Physicians will work in various settings including at one of our three outpatient clinics, inpatient on Labor & Delivery, and in the operating room. Position is located in Cambridge, with flexibility to practice in either Somerville or Revere
- Collegial staff with low clinician turnover. Physicians are part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team which includes Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine Physicians, Ob/Gyn trained Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners
- Physicians will assume an established patient panel from diverse backgrounds and have capacity to accommodate new patients. Manageable call schedule
- Physicians have the opportunity to teach medical students and residents from Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center across all settings. The position carries a Harvard Medical School (HMS) appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications, and commitment to teaching responsibilities
- In the IT role, physician serves as liaison between CHA Information Technology and OBGYN and Perinatal Operations to inform population health and value-based care initiatives
- Drives optimization of the electronic health record to promote workflow efficiencies and optimal care of our patients and communities while decreasing provider burden
- Helps to identify data requirements and coordinate the advancement of clinical information systems to satisfy data needs across the organization
