Department Description
The Cardiovascular Department at Cambridge Health Alliance provides a full range of tests to evaluate the health of a patient's heart and blood vessels. As an Echocardiography Accredited Facility, the lab utilizes state-of-the-art equipment for services including Echocardiograms, Electrocardiograms (EKG), various stress tests, and vascular testing. The lab also offers Holter and Cardiac event monitors and runs a device clinic for in-person and remote checks on pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders. These services are available at two locations, Cambridge Hospital and Everett Hospital.
Summary
The Administrative Coordinator II performs a wide range of administrative and support functions for the department. They act as the link between the health provider, the patient, other Alliance departments, outside service agencies and consulting providers. Responsibilities include: Greeting departmental visitors, Scheduling patient appointments/surgeries and coordinating schedules for departmental personnel, interns and fellows in specialty areas, Registering patients and performing administrative duties necessary to ensure appropriate billing and reimbursement for services, Performing general clerical duties in the preparation of departmental correspondence and records, Monitoring and ordering office supplies, Efficiently schedules meetings as requested, Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in a medical office setting required. Surgical booking experience
Skills: Fluency in Microsoft Office and Google apps. Strong writing, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required.
