Department Description:
The purpose of the Child unit is to provide evaluations and treatment for children who are experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. Our job is to partner with the patient’s team of supporters from outside the hospital. Through this partnership we will complete an evaluation, initiate a plan of treatment, and arrange appropriate services for the patient and support team that will provide scaffolding following discharge.

Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of an assigned caseload of clients, providing a range of psychosocial care. Provides individual, family and group therapy. Works at one or more service units, under social work clinical supervision and administrative supervision at the service site or in the service line.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Education/Training: Masters degree, Mental Health Counseling or related field 
  • Current MA licensure as an Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker(LICSW)
  • Minimum of clinical internship training or job experience in clinical human service work with population specific to service site.
