Department Description:

At Cambridge Health Alliance, our Department of Community Health is dedicated to improving the well-being of our communities through collaborative partnerships, education, and accessible clinical services. Our work is driven by a focus on health justice and equity, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to achieve their best health.

The Cambridge Health Alliance’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Program is a multi-grant funded program as part of the Department of Community Health that provides clinical, education, and outreach services to clients at CHA health centers and in the surrounding communities. Education services include comprehensive reproductive and sexual health counseling services in clinical settings, education and outreach in CHA communities, and youth development programs in local school systems. Services are available to adolescents, adults, community organizations, and professionals. This mission of the program is to better the reproductive and sexual health outcomes of our communities, as well as help address the social determinants of health of our communities. Our vision is for all to have unbiased and equitable access to reproductive and sexual health services. The three main priorities of the program include helping youth to make empowered choices by providing access to sex-positive health services through counseling and education, advocating for reproductive and sexual health rights for everyone, and being a trusted resource in our communities. In order to achieve these priorities, we maintain high quality work, timeliness, collaborative teamwork, supportive communication, strong leadership and passionate advocacy.
