Medical Retina Specialist

We are currently recruiting a Medical Retina Specialist to join our well-established Ophthalmology Division within the Department of Surgery.
About the position:
- Full-time or part-time opportunity, providing services at CHA’s Eye Center locations in Somerville and Malden
- Diagnosis and consultation to include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular problems, and hereditary retinal disorders
- Procedures will be office-based and include intravitreal injections and retinal laser photocoagulation
- Position affords the opportunity to work with Harvard Medical Students, and residents in HMS and CHA affiliated training programs. A Harvard Medical School Faculty appointment at the level of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor, full or part time, is possible and encouraged commensurate with HMS criteria, candidate qualifications, and commitment to teaching responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in medical retina
- License to practice medicine in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain)
- Experience fostering medical school education and supporting academic and educational activities
- Exceptional clinical and communication skills
- Dedication to ensuring culturally appropriate care
Benefits and Compensation:
- CHA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off (296 hours annually), medical/dental/vision insurance, 403b retirement plan with employer match, CME time and money, etc
- We offer a full-time guaranteed base salary plus production incentive. Based on years of experience, salary ranges from $420,000 - $470,000.
