Nurse Practitioner – Cambridge Breast Center

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a well-respected, nationally recognized, and award-winning public healthcare system, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our nationally accredited CHA Breast Center.
The Cambridge Breast Center is dedicated to providing a personal, patient-centered approach, focusing on continuous quality improvement, teamwork, and innovation. We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who shares our passion for serving our community and the underserved, multicultural patient population of CHA.
Position Details
- 24 hour Position, generally scheduled 8:00am-4:30pm, MNA Cambridge Union
- Co-manage the medical care of Breast Center patients in collaboration with a physician, adhering to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide comprehensive patient care within the Breast Center, including managing acute and chronic diseases according to established clinical guidelines.
- Order necessary laboratory and radiographic studies.
- Triage urgent telephone calls from patients.
- Support Accreditation Programs to ensure standards are met.
- Collaborate effectively with the RN Navigator on various patient care efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of NP experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of Breast Center experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Massachusetts licensure authorizing practice in an expanded role.
- Current DEA number and Mass DPH registration to prescribe controlled substances.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support “C” Certification.
- Demonstrate a commitment to CHA’s mission and our patient population.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to actively engage in a multidisciplinary team.
