Department Description

The Research Department at Cambridge Health Alliance advances the organization’s mission by supporting applied services and clinical research that promote health equity, improved delivery of mental health services to adults, youth and children, and community well-being. The department collaborates with a wide range of partners, including other research labs at CHA, other academic partners, including other Harvard Psychiatry Departments, community organizations, health systems, and public agencies. With multidisciplinary expertise, the individuals in the research department assist in the design, implementation and administration of rigorous, community-informed projects that generate actionable insights and drive positive, data-informed change.

Summary
The Research Administrative Coordinator provides administrative and financial support for HERLab’s sponsored research projects. This role assists with grant application preparation, post-award management, compliance to ensure accurate budgeting, reporting, adherence to sponsor and institutional policies, while also providing additional support to the HERLab team as needed.
Other Information
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in research administration, finance, or related field
  • Experience with NIH grants and federal funding regulations and compliance preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Meet), Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel), and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to communicate and interpret information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
