Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), is a nationally recognized, award-winning public healthcare system that provides high quality primary, specialty and emergency care  through an established network of outpatient clinics, a dedicated psychiatric inpatient facility, and two full service hospitals.  CHA is currently recruiting a full time Chief for our Urology Division. The incoming Chief will have both clinical and administrative responsibilities, develop a strategic plan for continued growth, oversee and mentor outstanding professional staff, and identify quality improvement initiatives.  At CHA we offer:
  • Leadership of a growing multidisciplinary team including 3 Urologists and 3+ Advanced Practice Clinicians.
  • Drive strategic growth and care innovation while partnering closely with surgical specialty, and operational leadership across Department of Surgery and CHA
  • Collaborative practice environment with a built-in referral network of over 300 primary care physicians within CHA’s Physician Organization and an innovative clinical model with over 10,000 urology clinic visits annually.
  • Comprehensive urologic care serving patients of all ages, addressing conditions such as kidney stones, urinary incontinence, prostate cancer and bladder cancer (general, endo, female and oncology).
  • Excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems in place that allows you to practice at the top of your license
  • Strong commitment to Quality Improvement program with participation in American college of Surgeons NSAQIP and COC accreditation. Multidisciplinary tumor board and cancer program in place
  • State-of-the-art technology including da Vinci DV5 and Xi Robotic Surgical Systems with reliable first assistance by robotically trained surgical PAs. Various laser and MIS techniques and transrectal prostate biopsy systems
  • Access to interventional radiology and state-of-the-art radiologic imaging.
  • Multiple locations in Cambridge, Somerville and Everett, making it convenient for patients and providing a broad reach for urologists.
  • State of the art Epic EMR system
  • Clinical research/teaching opportunities with residents and medical students as a Harvard Medical School affiliate.  This position carries an HMS appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications and commitment to teaching responsibilities.

  • BC/BE in Urology, or the ability to obtain prior to start
  • Unlimited Licensure in the state of Massachusetts
  • Active DEA License
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience actively practicing Urology
  • Proven leadership experience or training
  • Fluency in EMR systems & technology
CHA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, 403b retirement accounts with employer match, generous Paid Time Off (PTO), and a CME allotment (both time and dollars). The full time total compensation salary range is $520,000-$700,000.
