DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Clinical social workers within the Outpatient Department of Psychiatry are vital members of the multi-disciplinary treatment teams. In collaboration with colleagues in mental health and primary care, they provide services to preschool, latency-age children, and adolescents across the spectrum of programs offered within the department. The diversity of the child/adolescent patient population served in addition to the treatment modalities utilized requires interdisciplinary expertise and collaboration. The training responsibilities are assigned by the Director of Social Work Training in accordance with the training needs of the Department.

Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of an assigned caseload of clients, providing a range of psychosocial care. Works at one or more service sites, under social work clinical supervision and administrative supervision at the service site or in the service line.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current MA licensure as LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or eligibility for licensure.
  
• Work Experience: Minimum of clinical internship training or job experience in clinical human service work with population specific to service site.
