DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a community hospital that cares for a highly diverse population in the Boston metro-north region. As a member of our Medical Specialty team, you will help us care for patients in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, and Pulmonary Medicine. This includes consults and procedures at our two acute care hospitals and ambulatory care at our three medical specialty clinics.

Administrative responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Greet and and check in patients via Epic software, collect co-pays, assist patients at check out and book follow up appointments and testing, answer incoming calls appropriately and courteously, assist providers with electronic and paper requests, sort and prioritize correspondence for providers, participate on a planned care team, attend departmental meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum of one year experience working in an outpatient medical setting preferred. Bi-lingual skills such as Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole preferred. Ability to work independently. Must possess excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
