The Senior Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for the full range of reimbursement functions: cost reporting, audit, interim rate and settlement calculation, back up to net revenue preparation and analysis, and various special projects. The Senior Reimbursement Analyst will work closely with all members of the Financial Planning Office, including the Director, Managers and Analysts. As a member of the Financial Planning department, performance will be measured by one's ability to demonstrate the following leadership competencies:

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the HCFA 2552 cost report and the CHIA 403 cost report.

  • Advanced spreadsheet and database experience are a must. Microsoft Office is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak articulately to all staff levels and answer difficult questions with confidence.

  • Well-developed organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and functions effectively and calmly in a deadline-oriented environment.

  • Bachelors’ degree in accounting or business administration. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted, including demonstrated analytical, writing, and PC and software skills.

  • 5 years of hospital reimbursement experience required. 

  • Lead responsibility in preparing hospital cost reports is strongly preferred. 

  • Experience in a teaching hospital setting is required. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger systems, allowance and net revenue calculations, and financial analysis in a hospital setting.
